Getting Started...

Some helpful hints on getting started...

Creating an account on this forum in itself does not change the world.

It could very well be the next "Giant step for the mankind..." though. :)

This forum allows you several EASY ways to take a stand. Here are a few simple ways to do so:

CUSTOMIZE YOUR HOME PAGE:
As soon as you join this forum, a home page gets created for you. So, the next logical step would be to go to your "Home Page" and edit it to reflect your views on this subject. No web development or computer programming experience is necessary. Simply type in your text and save it. That would be the easiest way to make a statement. I have already done that. I have changed its "State" to "Publish", so now there is a link on this forum pointing to my home page. May I invite you to visit my (Forum Administrator's) Home page? Check it out. It only took a few minutes to create it.
PARTICIPATE IN DISCUSSIONS:
Any article that allows "Discussion" would have an "Add Comments" button at the bottom of that article. You are welcome to state your thoughts on ongoing discussion topics. For example, currently there is a "Discussion Topic" titled "Diplomacy or War." To submit your thoughts on any such "discussion" topics, simply click on "Add Comments" button and type in your thoughts. It is that simple. You can, of course, initiate a new Discussion topic as well. Try creating a new Discussion topic while you are in your "Folder." Feel free to drop us a line at Forum@NoWar.Org if you need any help.
CREATE NEW DOCUMENTS/ARTICLES:
This forum allows you to create new articles or documents in your folder. You now have an easy way to create an Article at your own pace, within the privacy of your "folder", and then publish it at your convenience.

You have control over when your articles get published. Any thing you type in there (documents within your folder) does not get published until you decide to do so. Any of your work-in-progress documents that may be in "visible" state, however, can be viewed (in theory) by others. Please flag all your work-in-progress documents (your masterpieces in progress) as "Private." Any content that is flagged as "Private" is visible only to you and the server administrator(s) responsible for the upkeep (backup/restore, disk maintenance, etc.) of this site. However, considering that anything stored on a server connected to the Internet is potentially insecure, you are better off not storing any personal or confidential information in your web folder. Unless you do not mind getting SPAM (UCE) mails, you may want to avoid including your email address within the text of your documents.

When you are ready to share your new article (document) with the world, you would do so by changing that document's "state" to "Submit." It will then get queued up for a review by one of our volunteer reviewers. If it is found to be "clean" and relevant, it will be flagged to be "published" at this site. Please review the document titled "Publishing Guidelines" for a general overview of what is considered "clean/acceptable" at this site.

Now isn't this pretty simple?

Publishing your masterpieces on the web to make a statement does not get any simpler than this... :)

Food For Thought

Diplomacy or war... In one hand you have the potential means to peacefully negotiate a resolve to a dilemma; in the other you have only brute action and its mirror reflection, reaction, in a never-ending cycle to oppose one another. It's an easy decision don't you think? Would you choose to fight and engage in violence that will only beget more violence and perpetuate the cycle? The sacred house that is peace cannot stand on a corrupt and divided foundation. Violence divides... utterly and absolutely. Peace unites... completely in its entirety. War will always bring casualties and hardship- the world already has enough of that without anyone else's help. AVERY
