War or Peace?

War or Peace? That question warrants no debate! It is a no brainer!

Wars result from breakdown of communications. Have you ever wondered why politicians, radicals and extremists of the world don't get it?

I consider Wars to be organized crime in its worst form.

When an individual kills someone, it is called a Murder. When a group of individuals gang up together and kill, it is Terrorism. When human lives are lost as a result of a Government authorized "War Campaign", they are called "War Casualties." What's the difference? Offensive War, Defensive War, Pre-emptive War, War against this and War against that are just the same. Ugly Wars.

I am very troubled to see that loss of civilian life -innocent men, women and children- is often dismissed away as "Collatoral Damage." I think the term "Collatoral Damage" was coined to "desensitize" loss of human life. It must have been coined by the war machines of the world to discount away any such loss of innocent human life. Obviously, it could not possibly have been coined by anyone who may have lost a loved one...

If I recall correctly, Mahatma Gandhi had said to the effect that "Eye for an Eye" would leave the whole world blind. He had also said that Non-violence does not mean lack of a measured response in self defense.

Non-violence means believing in non-aggression, not being trigger happy, governing all our actions responsibly and having a confidence that in the long run, the good always prevails over the evil. . . . I vote for Peace on Earth. :)
